What to Expect on Picture Day
As a local, women led company, Slow Road is passionate about capturing the heart of your students, resulting in authentic, artistic, and memorable images.

Here are some of the ways that Picture Day with Slow Road is different (in all the best ways)!
NO UP-FRONT WORK
You will not need to pre-purchase photos, register, or fill out any order forms before Picture Day. For students who are absent on Picture Day there will be a scheduled retake day.
MULTIPLE POSES OF YOUR STUDENT
Our photographers will spend about 60 seconds with each student, and during that time they will take a variety of photos that capture your student's unique personality. We will never ask students to say "cheese!" or force them into any unnatural poses. Instead, our photographers will simply let the students be themselves, and the result will be genuine and artistic images that you will love!
EASY ORDERING
About 3 weeks after Picture Day, you will receive a private online gallery containing the best three images for each of your students in both color and black and white. From there, you will have the option to purchase individual prints, digital downloads, and discounted packages right out of your gallery.
GIVE BACK TO YOUR SCHOOL!
Slow Road Photo will return 10% of all the Picture Day sales back to our school, so the impact of your photo order will be felt directly by your school community.
We want Picture Day to be your favorite day of the year! Here are some tips to help your family turn school pictures into heirloom treasures.
What to Wear
Your child’s photos look best when they are wearing something that is SO “them”! We also LOVE details, stripes, and patterns. If possible, try to avoid neon and shirts with lots of text. Check with your school to make sure you are in the know about their Picture Day uniform policies.
Our Approach
Your child will have the chance to be themselves in front of the camera! We will never ask a kiddo to say “Cheeeeese!”. Instead, we will welcome them to do what they do best- just be themselves!
Your Images
We want your child’s full personality to come through in these photos, which is why your gallery will contain the three best moments from their session so you can mix and match your favorites.
What happens after Picture Day?
Good news! With Slow Road Photo, you don’t need to preorder a single thing or turn in any paper order forms to your school. All you need to do is sit back and relax as we prepare your personalized gallery! We will check in after Picture Day to let you know when your child’s photos will be hitting your email inbox. Once you receive your images, you will have the chance to place your order online for both printed products and digital downloads.
