Your School PhotographerWe are a small, local business right here in your community. We shop at the same grocery stores and send our kids to the same schools. When you email us, you are reaching a small team who genuinely cares about your needs and wants to serve you the best we can.

Your family’s safety is critically important to us, and in this ever evolving AI landscape, we take privacy seriously. We are an independent photography company with no parent company. You will never see a student’s image in print or online without written permission. Additionally, we share a data privacy contract with every school we serve, promising that we will never sell or share your personal information- ever. We work closely with the school to release images only to people with contact information registered with the school.
Your Privacy MattersWhen Erica’s own school aged kiddos started bringing home their school photos, she was struck with an idea: what if those images taken at school looked and felt like family photos, with all the natural smiles and comfortable posing that would take place in a family’s living room? She knew that not every family would invest in a yearly family photography experience, but almost every student receives a yearly school picture. This set Erica on a mission to bring a high quality, artistic, and honest style of photography to the school photography industry so that every child could have a photograph of themself each year that celebrated their worth and value. Over the past 10 years, Erica Morrow, alongside COO Traci Buse and a force of local leaders and artists, have built Slow Road Photo into a company as passionate as ever about creating heirloom style images and capturing the spark in every person through volume photography experiences.

Slow Road Photo was founded in 2016 by Erica Morrow, a Twin Cities photographer passionate about capturing gentle spirited, authentic family photos.
Our Story
Our SchoolsSince 2016, Erica and her team have grown Slow Road Photo into a company providing Picture Day services to over 100 schools in Minnesota. We primarily serve private and independent schools, including a number of preschools and daycare centers. Additionally, we offer year round family photography experiences through Studio Pop Ups and Family Mini Sessions.
Our TeamAs a local, woman owned business, we are focused on hiring creatives in the Twin Cities and creating opportunities for them to thrive and use their gifts to provide heirloom images for our schools and families. We do extensive background checks, trainings, and ongoing evaluations to ensure that our team members reflect Slow Road’s values in all they do.
